As Ocean Vuong wrote: “To be a monster is to be a hybrid signal, a lighthouse: both shelter and warning at once.” The warmth and security that comes with being enveloped in cozy handknits is juxtaposed with delicate open work and fragile lace-like textures. Meet the Designer
Ever since I was young, I have loved doodling dresses in my notebook margins, but it was not until I discovered FIT that I realized it could be a viable career path. Throughout my years at FIT, I have learned how to use anything that I come across as inspiration, and it brings me such great joy and satisfaction to create garments that allow the wearer to express how they feel and tell their story. Knitwear is a specialization that perfectly marries two factors that I greatly value: the creative liberty of designing my own textiles and the low-waste aspect of creating fully-fashioned garments.
