Jeffrey Dodd was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. His early career in visual merchandising at Ralph Lauren inspired his move to New York, where he received a BFA in fashion design from Pratt Institute. Soon after graduation, Dodd joined the Rachel Zoe design team, where he was instrumental in launching her fashion line.

In 2014, he launched his first collection. Remaining true to his strong personal aesthetic, Dodd explores the juxtaposition of colors, textures, and seemingly incompatible inspirations, many influenced by his childhood travels to the American Southwest.

Dodd received Fashion Group International’s prestigious 2018 Rising Star Award for Womenswear and was selected by the city of New York as a 2016 Design Entrepreneur. In 2019, Dodd was invited by The Kaneko Museum to curate and display a selection of his work and creative process as part of their spring exhibition, “The Human Condition.”

Dodd works with top fashion and celebrity stylists, dressing a diverse group of the world’s most distinctive, award-winning women, including Jessica Chastain, Oprah Winfrey, Priyanka Chopra, Saoirse Ronan, Allison Janney, Patricia Clarkson, and Dominique Jackson. He is featured across a wide range of established and cutting-edge media, including Vogue, ELLE, New York, InStyle, Grazia, Surface, As If, and The Coveteur. Departures magazine selected Dodd as one of their influential “Departures 100.” In 2019, he became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
